Excellent article posted by Glyn Moody about Becta's selection process for a supplier to promote open source in UK schools.
They dismissed a veritable who's who of open source vendors - OSS
Watch, Schoolforge UK, Open Source Consortium member companies, Sirius
backed by Red Hat, KDE and the Free Software Foundation, Canonical,
INGOTS and The Open Schools Alliance - in favour of AlphaPlus
, who don't even seem to mention open source on their website at the
time of writing. Jobs for the boys? Mark Taylor of Sirius/OSC thinks so...
