At Kineo Open Source we put your needs first. While many of our competitors offer one-size-fits-all hosted applications which you have no freedom to re-configure or customise, our on-demand solution provides you with a Moodle implementation all of your own. This enables you to take full advantage of our customisation, theme development, training and support services.

And all our on-demand solutions offer unlimited users - we do not operate ‘cost per user’ deals like many of our competitors. However we also know that a small shared server will not be able to support thousands of simultaneous users, therefore we have provided approximate indicators in our pricing matrix below to help you decide which solution fits your needs.

• At Kineo Open Source we ensure good server performance, monitoring and proactively improving the servers when needed. With low-end solutions there is an element of ‘you get what you pay for’ and server performance is often slow.
• Kineo Open Source uses professional site monitoring services so that our team are alerted by email and SMS in the event of server performance problems. This enables us to fix most issues before they become major problems. With low-end solutions, server monitoring with email and SMS to your team is rarely provided.
• Our managed hosting service means that we provide all the necessary server administration skills to keep your site running in tip-top order. If you go it alone, then you’ll need to understand server administration fundamentals to use the server control panel effectively and for routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.
• You’ll get usage statistics with a low-end provider but no analysis with those stats. With Kineo Open Source, usage statistics are provided and analysed, with actions and upgrade paths proposed if necessary.
• At the bottom of the market you are on your own to manage the hosting supplier relationship. Using the Kineo Open Source managed service means that we manage the hosting supplier. And if you use Kineo Open Source for design and implementation too (which most of our clients do) then you only have to deal with a single supplier for a complete, end-to-end solution.
• Kineo Open Source provides upgrades as part of your hosting plan. With a low cost provider, you’re on your own.
• Kineo Open Source performs daily backup of all your files and will restore the previous night’s backup at your request. Low cost ISPs often provide application backup only and make content backup your responsibility. If they do backup content, is often not performed daily. They may only commit to restoring data in the event of their mistakes, not yours.
